The PC-BSD team is pleased to announce the availability of the third release candidate for PC-BSD 8.2. This is expected to be the last RC prior to release which is expected some time in the next 2 – 3 weeks. In addition to some fixes in response to previous 8.2 testing snapshots, RC2 contains the following software components: FreeBSD 8.2-RC3, KDE 4.5.5, X.Org 7.5, NVIDIA driver 260.19.29. Changelog: fixed bug allowing duplicate ZFS mounts; disable KDE4 3D effects by default, fixing issues with blank screens on some systems; default to skiping DVD checksum unless user requests it; implement fix for kernel panic when re-starting a wireless network; enable geom_mbr / geom_bsd by default.
